Blending pop and R&B with inspiration from Take 6, Boyz II Men, and *NSYNC, they’ve crafted a sound that’s unmistakably their own. Their shows are electric—packed with spontaneity, charisma, and moments that’ll catch you off guard in the best possible way.
Apocalypse Kow

Apocalypse Kow is an Edmonton-based comedy a cappella group whose bright, dynamic onstage presence has been entertaining audiences since 1998. They specialize not in traditional vocal jazz, but music that lies further afield. They like videogame themes, 80s classics, punk and hard rock, and even barbershop, though just for funsies they throw in a jazz standard to mix things up and confuse the crowd.
BIGSQUID

BIGSQUID started performing 4 years ago and “fell in love with this unique art form where the only instrument is your voice box”. An experienced beatbox artist from Calgary Alberta, he has won numerous world renowned competitions with thousands of participants and millions of viewers.
Cosmopolitan Chorus

we are more than music; we are community.
The Cosmopolitan Chorus is a large, inclusive, non-auditioned mixed-voice adult choir, welcoming singers of all ages and experience levels. The Chorus performs an eclectic range of repertoire, spanning Renaissance to Romantic, Baroque to Broadway, Sea Shanties to Spirituals, and pop music from across the decades. As part of the Cosmopolitan Music Society, choristers sing regularly alongside our handbell ensembles, concert bands, and jazz bands, and perform annually at the Winspear Centre for Music in addition to other local venues. Next season will be the Chorus’s 40th anniversary, and they are actively recruiting for all sections to help celebrate this important milestone.
ETown

E-Town Augmented is a non-auditioned adult a cappella choir. Now celebrating its 10th season, the group has evolved into a dynamic ensemble of singers from all walks of life who share a love of vocal harmony. Known for its joyful energy, community spirit, and commitment to musical growth, ETown’s performances reflect a deep sense of connection—both to the music and to each other—and showcase the power of voices coming together in song. E-Town Augmented often shares the stage with the E-Town Minors, its companion ensemble for singers in grades 7–12. Together, the two groups demonstrate a full-circle experience in learning, leadership, and a cappella artistry.

High Street Sound is an Edmonton-based, mixed-voice a cappella group that is driven to deliver original and diverse music drawn from their eclectic musical backgrounds. Inspired by music ranging from contemporary pop and rock, to tight jazz harmonies, to German hip-hop, they like to keep their audiences guessing. Known for their varied and sometimes quirky arrangements, High Street Sound seeks to explore the versatility of the human voice through rich harmonies, interesting timbres, intricate beat-boxing and funky sound effects.

When Peterpot picks up to the mic, the sounds of a human beatbox emerge. During his visceral electrifying live performances, Peterpot pioneers a hybrid genre of inspiration, humor and storytelling over a framework of rhythm – a combination that has helped him share his story with a wide range of audiences both young and old.

SmallTIME is a spin-off group, spun from Today’s Innovative Music Edmonton (TIME). The four members, Julian Macdonald, Rosie Macdonald, Talesa Mandin, and Daniel Shorten, share a passion for swing music and jazz harmony and are pleased to be “bringing swing to the SING” festival. While they have not been singing together in this quartet formation for very long they have over 100 years of combined vocal prowess and over these 100 combined years have had the privilege of learning from some of the finest musicians in the vocal jazz genre.

Our goal is to bring men together to enrich lives through the gift of music and for the encouragement, education and preservation of Barbershop harmony in the Edmonton Area.

The TIME Zones are the vocal ensembles of Today’s Innovative Music Edmonton (TIME). For over 20 years TIME has strived to provide the highest level of musical training in vocal jazz and contemporary vocal music for small ensembles. TIME ensembles are known for their full, blended sound and have had the privilege to work with and perform alongside numerous renowned vocal ensembles including Rajaton, New York Voices, Cadence, and Sixth Wave. Their performances include traditional and modern vocal jazz arrangements as well as a-capella music of all sorts.
